Machine Base - The machine base is designed and produced with electro-welded steel components for maximum rigidity and support. The saw head carriage is guided by high quality linear ways and bearings. A 20-gallon coolant tank is built into the base. Leveling bolts are located at corners of the machine.
7.5 HP Motor - Heavy-duty gearbox and 7.5 HP motor, which is controlled by an AC inverter drive. Blade speed is easily adjusted from the control console and the wide range of available band speeds allows for efficient cutting of many types of material.
Blade Drive - The blade drive motor is controlled by a Mitsubishi AC inverter drive. Provides smooth operation and infinite adjustment from 65 to 385 sfm.
Blade Wheels - High quality cast iron hardened wheels with heavy-duty wheel & gearbox shaft bearings.
Blade Guides - Replaceable carbide insert guides housed in two heavy duty cast iron guide arms provide cut accuracy of + / - .002” per linear inch of material and excellent vibration dampening. The hydraulically powered idler side guide arm allows for easy adjustment for proper guide arm spacing.
Powered Blade Brush - Driven off the blade drive wheel the 3” wire brush keeps the blade gullets clean, helping to maximize blade performance and life.
Blade Tensioning - Hydraulic blade tensioning provides consistent automatic blade tension while allowing quick and easy un-tensioning for blade changing.
Coolant System - A centrifugal pump immersed in the 20-gallon coolant reservoir delivers ample coolant flow through carbide faced and nozzle guides. A flow cock is present for coolant quantity adjustment.
Hydraulic System - A 2HP driven hydraulic pump supplies system pressure. The system pressure through 3-position directional valves controls all vising, head swing, head advance/retract, blade tension, and guide arm movement. The pump and motor assembly and hydraulic manifold complete with all function directional valves all swing out with the hydraulic compartment door for easy service access, and minimal downtime.

Laser Light - Projects a crisp line of laser light along the blade line. This feature can be used for fast length measurements or as a cut marker. |
Hyd-Mech’s Direct Down feed-(DDF) -
Provides easy adjustment of both head feed rate and cutting pressure. Machine sawing chart provides proper blade speed, tooth pitch, feed rate and feed force recommendations. Saw head control includes fast approach control feature for quick set ups. Feed rate is displayed on PLC in linear inches per minute during the sawing operation via rotary encoder.
Electrical System - The electrical control components are housed in a console at the back of the machine. The operator manual switches are conveniently located on an articulating console positioned at the front of the saw. Components and wiring are neatly laid out and labeled for easy troubleshooting.
| Swing Out Operator Console Controls - Conveniently located on an articulating console on the front of the machine, the selector switches and push buttons allow the operator to manually control all machine functions including emergency stops. |
Overhead Bundling - hydraulically powered overhead clamp that moves down on the material from above. Its downward (clamping) and upward (unclamping) movement are controlled and timed with the opening and closing of the side vise. Very effective, and necessary for bundle cutting various materials. Can also be effective in dampening of cutting vibration. (Capacity limited to 12” at 90 degrees, 6 “ at 45 degrees)
Variable Vise Pressure - allows for adjustment of the clamping pressure of both vises. Recommended for thin wall tubing and other light material applications where standard vise pressure may deform the material
Drag Chain Chip Conveyor - chain driven chip conveyor, located in the machine base. Manually operated through a hand crank assembly, the chips are removed into a pan located at the side of the machine.
Hydraulic Chip Conveyor - a hydraulic motor supplies the drive for the chip conveyor in the machine base, providing remote control of the conveyor through a switch on the control console.
Extended Head - longer head frame providing an additional 11” of height capacity.
Fixed 6 degree Forward Canted Head - recommended for cutting of larger beams, structures, and bundles of square tubing, positions the blade to approach the material on a 6 degree incline, allowing for more efficient cutting and improved blade life.
Digital Angle Display - console mounted digital readout display for indication of angles for head position
Pop Up Feed Roller - hydraulically powered lift roller providing slight material lift and roller assistance for in feeding material.
Mist Lubrication System – air mist system providing blade lubrication and cooling. Alternative to standard flood system.
Idler Roller Conveyors - Type II Conveyor: 26” wide x 38” high
Maximum Workload – 10,000lbs
Powered Roller Conveyors - Type II Conveyor: 26” wide x 38” high
Maximum Workload – 10,000lbs
(NOTE: If more than 30’ of powered sections are to be coupled together, extra drive capability may be required – contact Hyd-Mech for details/pricing)
Note: Conveyors available as standard or cantilevered 10’ sections. Cantilevered sections have legs offset at one end to allow conveyor to butt up to machine table. Standard style conveyor does not butt up to table.
