Our RIMI 4RV Bull Four Roll Double Pinch Fully Hydraulic Plate Rolls are designed for high capacity plate rolling and are built with heavy single weldment end frames, robust direct linear guide roll movements, powerful direct powered drive trains and top of the line components for higher productivity and longer lasting performance.
These machines employ state of the art electronics with PLC controlled roll balancing, high strength high capacity pistons for lateral and pinch roll movement, rigid piped hydraulic systems and a selection of options including CNC controls and the most powerful lateral and overhead material supports available.

STANDARD EQUIPMENT:
- All RIMI 4RV Plate Rolls are Fully Hydraulic for operating efficiency, low maintenance and long lasting performance.
- Heavy Reinforced Rectilinear Guides are used for lateral and pinch roll translations up/down that direct the thrust force directly to the rolls and therefore the rollers. This system reduces maintenance and prevents power loss that occurs on machines using planetary swing arms and/or torsion bar systems. Fewer moving parts and fewer hydraulic components mean more production time gained over time.
- Electronic Balancing System via PLC on the rolls (tolerance ±0.2 regulation) uses no mechanical parts like used on lower tolerance maintenance prone torsion balancing systems. There are no mechanical adjustments to make and roll balancing occurs in ‘real-time’ with linear optical transducers communicating the roll end positions to the PLC which commands the precision Hydraulic Proportioning Valves to maintain continuous and accurate roll levelling.
- All 4 Rollers are Journaled in Dual Spherical Roller Bearings, self-aligning dual crown design with forced self purging lubrication.
- Pinch and Lateral Rolls all positioned by direct thrust high capacity hydraulic pistons. Pistons have a moderate stroke compared to swing arm/torsion systems. Using larger piston stems and a more compact design reduces piston stem stress and reduces piston seal maintenance.
- Rolls in special carbon steel C45 – C50 forged and quenching & hardened
- Both the Top Roll & Pinch Roll are Motorized in Rotation using dual independent direct coupled large planetary speed reduction units and high torque radial piston hydraulic motors. This eliminates gears and Transmits near 100% Torque Directly to the Rolls. Direct drive systems eliminate short term periodic maintenance and are less subject to wear.
- Dual 2 Rotation Speeds via control console selector switch, assists control in prebending
- Electronic Roll Tilting for cone rolling, set and monitored directly from control panel
- Hydraulic Drop-End allow easy removal of the work-piece in the horizontal position
- Controls are push button type, mounted on a mobile control console with trailing lead
- Machines are equipped with a SIEMENS TP177b Operative Touch Panel, with a 5.7” color display screen. Changing pages and menus allows the operator to visually monitor; all rolls positions, set and read the rolls inclination, operating pressures and to view other machine functions as well as access the diagnostics menus.
- Low Voltage Controls 24V AC & DC for safety, reduced operating and maintenance costs
- Hydraulic unit consists of motor pump groups, solenoid valves, max pressure by-pass valve to guarantee overload protection all located in only one single manifold block to avoid oil leaks or pressure drops. The single manifold provide longer life and less maintenance
- Hydraulic Components Bosch-Rexroth Vickers, Hydac, Parker or equivalent
- Automatic Speed/Pressure Compensation between top roll and pinch rolls
- Automatic Central Lubrication with pre-settable timed cycles from the touch panel
- Electric Switchgear Components Siemens, Telemecanique, Omron or equivalent are incorporated in large IEC/CE/UL type cabinets with 40% free area per international standards
- Warnings / diagnostics on the display show running conditions or anomalies
- Safety Devices on the machine consist of E-Stop Palm switches and perimeter trip wires
